Hosting and server logs
The public TrueScent website is operated for us by bavarialogy, Peter Leitner, Fehnbachstr. 30a, 83734 Hausham, Germany (processor under Art. 28 GDPR). The sole hosting provider used by bavarialogy is myDC Cloud Services GmbH (Dr.-Franz-Wilhelm-Straße 2, 3500 Krems an der Donau, Austria). No further hosting sub-processors are used.
When you visit a page, technical access and error logs are kept to deliver the website reliably, identify faults and prevent misuse. These may include your IP address, the date and time, the requested page and technical details about the request. They are not used to track your browsing behaviour or for advertising. The legal basis is our legitimate interest in the security and reliable operation of the website (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR). The logs are retained for 30 days and then deleted.
Public website: no cookies, no tracking
The public TrueScent website sets no cookies, uses no analytics or advertising services and embeds no content from third-party servers. The fonts are also hosted locally on our server – visiting the site does not connect you to Google or any other font service.
When you write to us
If you email us, we process your details to answer your enquiry (Art. 6(1)(b) or (f) GDPR) and delete them as soon as they are no longer needed for that purpose.
Contact form
When the contact form is enabled, we process your name, email address, message, form language and submission time, and your shop or brand if provided, to answer your enquiry. The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR for contract-related enquiries and otherwise our legitimate interest in responding (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR). The responsible TrueScent team members receive the enquiry for processing, including by email. The data is held on our hosting infrastructure and in the mail service used for handling enquiries. We delete it once the enquiry has been dealt with, unless statutory retention obligations apply. Submitting an enquiry does not sign you up for marketing.
Launch notification
With your voluntary, expressly ticked consent, we store your email address and, optionally, your town or favourite perfumery in order to tell you about the launch near you (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR). As proof, we store the time, the language, and the version and wording of your consent as it was shown to you. If you sign up again, we record that consent in the same way. The details stay on our own infrastructure; no newsletter service is used.
You can withdraw your consent at any time with effect for the future, for example via our contact form or by writing to datenschutz@truescent.at. We delete the entry after a withdrawal or after the requested launch notification, unless statutory retention obligations apply. The launch notification is not consent to general marketing.
The TrueScent advice in store
